This is so epic, I want to scream. I cannot wait.
I am remembering my uncle who passed away today, years ago, and how my heart broke because it was on this particular day. I am reading all the wishes my friends have sent me. I am getting calls and text messages that make me smile. My roommates are taking me out for lunch and making me cards. I am feeling loved, yet my heart is heavy. Today I am another year older.

NEW HOUSE!
We got a place! That little gem that almost slipped through! It is ours! Tomorrow we are going there to sign the lease and give our first and last rent. Moving day is the 1st or 2nd of August. Oh I am so happy!! I cannot wait to move out of the old and in to the new!

roommate confessions
If I could write a memoir, it would have to be about all the horrible roommates I’ve had to endure over the past four years. The amount of terrible roomies outweighs the good. I know hope after these arduous years, my tolerance of bad roommates will come to an end. Coming this August (or September!), I will be moving in with two of my close friends. Zaahira Joseph (who is my roommate now and obviously on the good list) and Gabrielle Ferro-Townsend will be my next two mates, and hopefully the last of the good mate search. I know these girls pretty well and I have a great feeling that we will get along just fine.
We have been house hunting for a while now. Found a couple gems hidden in the depths of downtown Toronto, some completely within our price range too! I found one last week which is practically perfect. It had everything on our little checklist and for a reasonable price too. So obviously we said yes. Now, we can’t get a hold of the landlord anymore. Either her phone is disconnected, or she blocked our numbers? I really got along with her too, she seemed to really like me and therefore pick us to be her tenants!! Alas, no call or answer from her, and another gem has slipped through our fingers yet again.
I have no doubt we will find a place, I am still staying positive. But reader, if you know of any 3 bedroom apartments for a good price please let me know!
I am off to watch the Italy vs. Slovakia game (and hopefully watch Italy win!). Ciao.
